Why are most autoharps offered in 15 and 21 chord models? 15-bar 'harps may be simpler to get started on due to fewer chord bars, but they play in fewer keys. Chords are arranged in two rows. 21-bar 'harps play in more keys and have chords in three rows - usually major chords in one row, minor chords in another, and 7th chords in the third. This aids in transposing music from key to key. I most often recommend 21-bar 'harps due to their flexibility.
